Reliable ground models and design parameters for buildings, roads, ports, jetties and industrial facilities. All investigation, testing and reporting is carried out in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and Papua New Guinea codes.
Field Investigation & Testing
- Desktop study, site walkover and investigation planning
- Test pitting, soil profiling, logging and sampling
- Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP), pocket penetrometer and shear vane testing
- Drilling supervision — SPT, CPTu, push tubes and core logging, onshore and offshore
- Piezometer and standpipe installation and monitoring
- Laboratory testing through PNGLAS-accredited laboratories
Engineering Analysis & Reporting
- Soil and rock classification to AS 1726
- Bearing capacity, settlement and subgrade modulus
- Site classification for slabs and footings (AS 2870)
- Earthquake site class and liquefaction screening
- Earthworks, pavement subgrade (CBR) and excavation batters
- Slope stability, landslide and geohazard assessment
- Retaining wall inspection and design parameters
- Factual and interpretive geotechnical reports
